Inuyama Castleーnational treasure of Japan

 I want to introduce ...

Inuyama Castle

-the oldest existing style of Japanese castle

( For Japanese→

The Inuyama Castle, built in the 16th century, was among the tens of thousands of castles present at the time. However, currently only 12 remain. The castle, one of the 12, has been designated as a National Treasure.

Depending on the time, you may be able to see the castle and the cherry blossoms together.

Inuyama is the city located almost in the middle of Japan. You can go there from Nagoya city by train.

Arrived at Nagoya city;Fourth largest city in Japan.Took the train to Inuyama Station

There is a castle town on the road from the station to the castle, where you can find souvenirs and food.

Follow the cherry blossom road to the castle on the hill

There are some shrines along the way to the castle.Feel more excited!

the gate of the castle
A river, a High and stone walls protected the castle tower as a fortress

The donjon of Inuyama Castle has three external layers, but counting the interior partitions, it has four internal floors.

The number of floors seen from outside and the number of actual floors do not always correspond! Interesting!

In the castle, there are many steep slopes.

Arrived at the top of the castle and overlooked the castle town

The river running beside the castle

Beautiful landscape!

When I got off the castle, I found that the cherry blossoms were starting to bloom.

Thank you for reading to the end.
